Hair Analysis

The number one reason to do a hair test is for basic overall health. You cannot be optimally healthy without addressing the environment and how it may be burdening the body. Hair analysis will address what toxic elements are being excreted but will also identify and create cause for concern of what you're NOT excreting. As the patient gets healthier, generally we start to see higher levels of toxic elements coming out in the hair.

There are several conditions we've found to be closely tied to toxic elements

  • Anemia
  • Hypertenstion
  • Thyroid Conditions
  • Cancers
  • Trouble with Weight Loss

Regardless, everyone should address toxic elements for prevention and long-term optimal health.  Partnering hair analysis with other diagnostic testing like our comprehensive blood panel will give you a more complete picture of what is happening in the body.

The hair root is in constant contact with blood vessels, allowing both essential and toxic elements to enter the hair shaft continuously as hair grows. In other words, hair analysis reflects long-term excretion rates of the various elements. One must understand that hair is an excretory tissue so any results that are “high” in the hair tissue are being excreted. When it comes to toxic elements, if one is getting exposed, we want to see them coming out.

In addition, just because it’s not being excreted in the hair, doesn’t mean one is not being exposed to that toxic element. Many times the patients that show no toxic element elimination in the hair will be our sickest patients. It can indicate one has an inability to excrete the toxic elements which can cause many health disorders from high blood pressure to memory and concentration issues. In our industrial society and with the very real problem of pollution, it is well understood one will get exposed to many toxic elements. We want to try to assess what our patients are being exposed to and if they’re excreting efficiently.

Testing toxic elements via hair and blood testing can give our patients a bigger picture of where they stand in regards to optimal health.  Give us a call for a free consultation today!
